Trip to the Dentist!
Groggy...that's how i'm feeling now having woken up so early today to make a trip down to the dentist...thinking that i could beat the crowd by reaching the clinic at 8.30am (the time it opens)...I was actually the 4th person in queue when i reached there! POWER...how early have the 3 other people been queuing outside e clinic?? well i mean...when i got there at 8.30am...i already saw people queuing outside the children's clinic beside the dental clinic when it only opens at 9am...so yah...I shouldnt be surprised...if only i had been earlier...then i wouldnt have had to wait til abt 10am before it got to my turn...the other 3 people had their turns before 9.30am! & u know how i hate to wait...my patience just wears thin waiting...
aniwaiz...so it was finally my turn...it actually didnt turn out that bad...having experiences with my previous dentist...visiting the dentist was always a dread...even a harmless visit to clean my teeth turned out to be a horrifying gum bleeding experience...leaving the strong taste of blood in my mouth long after the dental appointment...so i would say that this dentist is much better...at least it wasnt so much of a painful experience...in fact...i think it was informational...well turns out my teeth is perfectly fine...e ache i'm experiencing is due to some inflammation or sinus infection due to my flu...hence i'm feeling the pain on my teeth...so i guess i'm just going to let it heal on its own...if it gets bad then i'll pay the doctor a visit...if not guess i'll just save the money for now...so he proceeded on to clean my teeth...seems that i havent exactly been brushing my teeth as well as i should have...plus...with my crooked, uneven teeth...it makes brushing more tricky...not only am i unable to clean certain parts properly...my gums are supposedly kind of inflammed...yah sounds bad right?? but well...the dentist said that as long as i take more time & effort to brush my teeth everyday...it should be fine...he also recommended that I use a child's toothbrush cos the head is smaller so it will be easier for me to manoeuvre...hmm child's toothbrush eh...& guess what??? I actually have a cavity in my teeth =S Cavity?? me?? aniwaiz so he filled it for me...think it should be fine now...i'm so pleased with the outcome of this visit...he made my teeth so clean...i can smile now like a Cheshire cat *grinz*
well it came back to the same question again...whether I should fit braces...the dentist was saying i should have fitted it way back in my teens (am I actually that old already?? hmm..) but well...he said i should fit...not only for appearance wise...but it'll make cleaning much easier for me...since there wont be too many difficult spots for me to brush...but the catch is during the 1.5-2 years when i'm with braces...brushing will definitely be much more tedious than now..hmm it has set me thinking whether i should really fit it...i really cant imagine the pain i have to go through...not to mention how troublesome it will be...i thought of fixing it next week actually...but it'll stretch into my school term...with no time to adapt to it...so i'm thinking twice...I thought of leaving it till december...but I know i'll have my own excuse by that time...saying that i have to finish up my dissertation & I cant afford to be in pain with braces...4 teeth! thats the number of teeth i'll have to extract...the worst is that it cant be fitted at one shot...it has to be done over a series of 3 appointments...hence dragging it even longer...so i need at least 4 weeks...which time is not on my side right now...maybe i should have just put it on the 11th july instead of cancelling my appointment...but i wasnt mentally prepared to fix it on...so i guess that will make it even worse...i feel that i must want to fix it in order to be able to endure with the pain & suffering of it...yikes...what should i do now???
aniwaiz after the dental appointment was over...i went to Serangoon Pool for a swim...seeing that it was quite a hot & sunny day...the water was damn freggin cold!!! it was like iced water...even after swimming a warm up lap...i still felt the coldness...so i didnt manage to swim much...only 15 pathetic laps...half of what i would usually swim...i just couldnt stand the cold..plus i was feeling pretty tired...so i decided to get out of e pool...
well all things happen for a reason...if the water wasnt so cold & if i wasnt too tired...i would have swam on...but because i onli swam for a short while today...i managed to have lunch with Chloe, Yong Cheng & Xian Kan...(yesh chloe i know i've been bugging u to meet up for lunch...) so u see...all things do happen for a reason...believe in that...aniwaiz...it was a nice...just meeting up for a short lunch...though they had to go back to the office...& Miss Choy really made me laugh...or rather i think i was self entertaining...once i saw the shoes that she was wearing...i just burst out into laughter...cos i remembered that pair of shoes which she took a photo of & uploaded it in one of her blog entries...if any of u can remember...she was wearing it with some colourful socks...it was the same one that she commented looks like pigs trotters...hahaz...chloe: u just make me laugh...i'll miss u when u're in China man...actually that pair of shoes kinda reminds me of Dorothy's shoes in the Wizard of Ox...somehow...I must comment on the lil dessert that we had after lunch...our dear Mr Fish was so excited about ordering some yam roll thing...& after it came...e 4 of us were stunned...it was SO & i really mean so...TINY!!! it tasted ok...not exactly that yammish...but edible...chloe thought it tasted like plastic...ha...but it was so funny...in fact...i think the salmon with seaweed sushi that chloe bought for a dollar was probably more worth it...but aniwaiz...Fish: Thanks for the dessert ;)
so after lunch...i went to look for my mum at the supermarket...kinda feel guilty leaving her to have lunch alone while I had lunch with Chloe & friends..."hey guys...honoured right?" aniwaiz...xian kan actually made a comment...when he saw my mum..."HUH? that's your mum ah? I thought she's your sis!!!" =S well i think my mum would be happy to hear that comment cos it means she looks young...but for me?? do i look that old?!?!?!? I would liken to think that he meant I look more mature...right Mr Fishy??? *raises eyebrow*
& today...was the 1st time i drove alone...all alone...though it was only for a very short distance...well its the first step...so i can drive to school on days where i only have like a 2hr night lect...so my mum doesnt have to fetch me down...but i'll have to get past my dad 1st...he is sooo afraid of me driving his precious car out alone...not with my P plate still in place...ha...
k time for dinner...eh i didnt realise i was actually starting to type an essay...hmm...
