Shopping Alone...
Not being able to withstand the thought of staying home for another day...I finally decided to go out...I had initially planned to meet Chloe for lunch at J8 during her lunch break but she had 2 events today...so I wasnt able to arrange for that...& my other friend I asked wasnt free today...& thinking that it would be difficult to arrange to meet up with anyone within such short notice...I decided to go alone...I would have gone out with my mum if she didnt have her dental appointment today...but oh well...at least I got some time to myself...
actually...going out alone isnt all that bad...at least I get to go wherever I want to...not having to worry whether the other person will be bored...I can see whatever I want to see...well i just needed to get out of the house for awhile...& I managed to get some stuff that I needed...so this shopping trip was quite fruitful...
aniwaiz I gotta say...I dont know why but I always seem to bump into some mentally unsound people...the worst of which was when I got slapped by this mad lady on a bus on the way out...hmm come to think of it...it actually happened quite many years ago...when i was in J1 i think...but i still remember how hard the slap was! the impact was so great that my glasses actually flew off my face...& her fingernails actually scratched my cheek! OUCH...then the other time happened when I was having lunch with my family at some food centre...I encountered one lady who was jabbing her finger at the side of my face! I still remember she was asking me whether i wanted to order any drinks & when i declined...she starting scolding me...saying things like what I'm eating is so oily & yet I didnt want to get a drink or wat not...that was when she got so agitated that she kinda jabbed her finger at my face...CRAZY!!! & her hand was wrapped in some plastic bag or those plastic gloves which looked sooooo oily!!! GROSS...dont remind me of it...
well today's encounter was very tame in comparison...just that the lady sat beside me in the mrt...she was talkin & laughing to herself...but seriously...nowadays...with all the bluetooth headsets & stuff...I really dont know if she was on the phone or was she really a lil unsound...but i tried to look in the reflection...i didnt see anything in her ear or any wire...plus there were some people who were looking at her too...so probably she was talking to herself...but she seemed so normal! she was in her 40s...dressed in jeans...& my i must say she's actually quite hip cos she was wearing faded jeans & it was ripped at the thighs...& she was holding onto quite a few property catalogues...those condo kind...so she came in...& saw an empty seat beside me & sat down...but cos I was carrying quite a few bags...it was a lil over the seat...so I had to move my stuff lest she sat on it...well she nearly did though...but thats not the point...so when she sat down...she kinda turned to me & was saying something like (in chinese) "I nearly sat on ur stuff..." or something along this line...then she started laughing =S can imagine how stunned i was?? but i was listening to my radio so i just ignored her...so throughout the whole train journey...she was talking about property...& what..should not buy or what property is good...& she was referring to the catalogue the whole time...then there was one point where she whipped out her pen & started writing on this envelope she was holding...i tried to sneak a peek...& to my horror...she was scribbling...well I dono what she was scribbling...call it shorthand...or i would rather say it was illegible...she was saying something about goin to city hall...then after that...she turned to me & started saying something & she laughed again!!! I must say that with my previous experiences...i was pretty freaked out...but at the same time i was reluctant to give up my seat...so when i was one stop away i quickly got up...lest the next thing i know...her hand comes across my face...then that will be bad...before i alighted...i tried to look again...& really!!! I didnt see any bluetooth headset!!! *faintz*
so seems like it was a pretty eventful day for me afterall...well itz back to work after dinner again...I cant sleep too late tonight though...so dont think I have much time to do my research...I need to make a trip down to the dentist tomorrow...my teeth is kinda hurting...but its not exactly a toothache...i dont know how to describe it...well i have to reach the dentist at 8.30am tmr! damn early...but I have no choice...cos if i book an appointment it'll be in september...so i have to walk in...just hope i dont have to wait that long...probably go for a swim after that if possible...& another day just passes...
