ANTS??

I came across this article in the papers today & i'm so freaked out by it...here goes...

A woman receiving treatment for diabetes at a state-run hospital lost one of her eyes after ants NIBBLED away at it, officials said yesterday.

The 54 year old patient shrieked for help as the ants attacked her on Sunday night, but nurses told her it was normal to feel pain from post surgery infection.

On Monday, the patient's family saw a GAPPING hole with SWARMING ants in it when they lifted the bandage on her left eye. She died yesterday of post surgery complications.

Superintendent of Kolkata's Hospital said, "It is NOT UNCOMMON for ants to attack diabetic patients."

I mean...WHAT!?!? ants nibbling on one's eye?? doesnt it sound scary? & its not uncommon??? oh man...what is this!?!?!? =S
