What happened to all the good movies?

It seems that there arent any good movies recently...well in a sense its good cos movie ticket prices are horrendously high for a student like me...$10 for a movie...a little steep...so naturally it has to be a movie worth watching to fork out that amount...but its been so long since I last caught a movie with Huat...feel like watching this weekend...BUT there's no movie that interests me...so far the only movie that I feel is watchable is Red Eye...not that its a good movie or anything but at least it seems interesting...hahaz but its no longer showing on Saturday...so no chance for that...Huat suggested the Longest Yard but...it doesnt seem interesting to me...saw the trailer before...not exactly my kind of movie...I feel like watching a light hearted comedy or an action packed film...nothing seems to satisfy my criteria right now...any recommendations anyone?? What happened to all the blockbusters???
